Mission and Objectives

Mission Statement

The Postgraduate Program (MSc) provides students with a high-level academic curriculum, continuously adapting its syllabus, research methodologies, and teaching practices to the latest scientific and technological advancements. The program's identity has been shaped by the standards of equivalent leading Greek and international universities, as well as the contemporary needs and challenges of sport management on both a national and global scale.

Program Goals and Learning Outcomes

The specific objectives of the MSc are aligned with the strategic goals of the Institution and are defined as follows:

  • Advancement of Knowledge: To promote the science of Sport Management and enhance the understanding of its contribution to improving the organization and efficiency of sports globally.
  • Research Development: To foster research in the management of sports organizations and enterprises, as well as in related fields such as culture, education, health, tourism, local government, and recreation.
  • Expert Training: To cultivate specialized professionals capable of meeting the requirements of sports organizations and driving sports development at a national and international level.
  • Addressing Educational Needs: To bridge the gap in postgraduate training for sports executives and maintain a strong connection with the developmental needs of the Greek sports industry, the economy, and society.
  • Expansion of Synergies: To broaden collaborations with domestic and international educational and research institutions and provide high-level specialization building upon the undergraduate foundations of the University of Peloponnese (UoP) departments.

are directly linked to the program’s mission and are designed based on academic and professional standards, societal/economic requirements, and labor market demands.
